I just got back from seeing this. And i acc. was suprised at the ammount of gore. Well anyway... Well as i was watching this, it kinda struct me like the secound half of Shaun of the Dead.
With the first half of SotD being stuffed with in-movie jokes and humor, act 2 however it became a lot more like a horror film with a few good jokes. Upping the Gore and tension.
Well anyway i enjoyed this muchly...
Not quite as good as the other classics in the genre (Tremors, Braindead and as mention Shaun of the Dead) but a good watch none the less.
I've seen it 2-3 times, didn't like it at all any of those times, even though I tried to like it. It just plain sucks, and is totally overrated.. Like a lot of movies, and I'm sure you're one of the people who overrates horrible trash.
the second half of "shaun of the dead" wasn't funny anymore.
this movie - based on one little joke - wasn't funny at all.
Tremors wasn't a comedy, it was an adventure-movie with some jokes, it had at least some suspense in it.
But hey, i just don't like horror-movies with a lost identity of which afterwards the creators and fans can tell us : "are you stupid, it was just for fun, why don't you laugh, the blood and guts flying around is funny, please laugh"...
black sheep was filled with other film refs intentionally, i'm sure shaun of the dead was one of them. it's probably the only other contemporary zombie film that isn't a remake.
by the way if you think shaun of the dead sucked you obviously have no effing sense of humour. after team america it's the funniest film in existence. and i don't feel like qualifying that statement with "in my opinion." it's the opinion of many smart people. but i guess you completely missed the point of team america too.
