Knuckles' voice
I've always hated Dan Green playing Knuckles, he seems like a sort of "one voice fits all" kind of guy. Too akin to YuGiOh for my tastes. Anyone agree? D:
shareYes. Dan Green is a good actor, I admit, but I hate him as Knuckles. He sounds too angry and tough for his own good. I'll never look at Knuckles the same way with him around. I miss Scott Drier (old Knux voice) :(

I agree Scott did a great job at portraying Knuckles when he played it cool, or lost his temper at times. Dan's voice is basically like the person said a one voice fits all type of VA.
shareFor those who don't like Dan Green as Knuckles, there is some good news. According to a official character bios from here http://www.sonic-cult.org/newsx/fullnews.php?id=111 Knuckles' new voice may not be him (unless Jay Snyder is a nickname of some sort).
I don't actually know how good or bad Dan Green is since I haven't played any of the new games or watch Sonic X.
If you've ever seen YuGiOh you have a pretty good idea of it already.
shareI find it surprising that the only true confirmed VA from Sonic X in the new game is Rob Pollock, no word or voice clips on any of the others. Maybe Sega is searching for some new talent?

shareI for one don't quite hate Dan's voice for Knuckles, but I do prefer Scott Drier's voice. What I will admit is that Dan does seem to capture the hot-headedness of Knuckles moreso than Scott did, but that's more or less all he does that's better than what Scott did.
shareAnother bashing thread. Come on people, you cannot get mad at the actors. They are just doing their job. If you want to get mad at anyone, get mad at the company hiring the actors. I personally like all the voices. They all fit fine.

I honestly can't picture anyone else, but that's just my thought.
It's a very gruff voice, which differs in the game where he sounds less gruff. Just listen to it for a little while and you'll enjoy it.
shareDrier did great I'll admit, but I just don't miss him at all (same for the other original Sonic actors). Dan Green just felt more right to me.
