Excellent movie

I have to agree with the post on the opening page. The movie (director/acting) pulls you into the film in every aspect of what is going on. From the opening scene to the end you feel for Eric and what he's going through without him having to say it. He expresses it outwardly, not with words. The film doesn't give us a mother or father that talks to their kids and reasons with them. Eric is merely responding the way he shown, by his parents, how to respond. (at least from the period of the film we are shown.) How they make decisions effects the entire family, mostly Eric, of course, in this case, since he's the main character. This is probably one of the most complete movies I've ever seen. You want to know what happened to this family in the long run. You want to keep watching.

It was sad to see some of the things that this Eric had to go through, but it was good to see that with all that was going on within him, he moves on dispite the disappointments and mistakes. (I would like to know what happened to the daughter during the girl bathroom scene at school. Kinda left that to the imagination, I guess.)

I love a film that engages you and causes you to use your emotions, and experiences, to feel what the characters are feeling without a lot of dialog.

Excellent film.

I would suggest watching the interview with the director after watching the film.

I'm sorry but this film made me want to kill myself. Before you pull out your homophobic card, I am no homophobic. I highly enjoyed Kar Wai Wong's Happy Together and many other "gay" subject films.

This film was poorly made. I felt like I was watching an amateur YouTube video. The plot and acting would have been represented better if it was made better, the directing, film quality, cinematography, etc.

I didn't think it was a great film.

Odd. I wouldn't say Happy Together made me want to kill myself. But I would certainly say I was bored to wonderment by it. What a bland movie! Since you seem to exaggerate I'll chalk that up to how you view movies(?)
