Direction of the film (Spoilers)

I have seen this picture many times and often wonder to myself why the director decided to use alot of almost "fill in" like slapstick style comedy at the beggining of the movie....

I actually didnt mind it at first but in retrospect i felt like much of Kwon Sangs "aspiring Dream to be Action Star" backstory was unnecessary as it did not add to the dramatic effect of the later scenes to come.

maybe its just me but it felt like a chore to watch the first Hour and a half to get to the centre of the film which is about shattered dreams and unrequented love...

Kwon Sang woo acting in this is amazing...
The simple yet very moving sequence where he breaks down after watching the tape his best friend gives him is in one word "heartbreaking"...

All in all the picture in my opinion is worth sitting through the first hour of what feels like a teen flickish humour to get to a much more serious tone Melodrama...
