So the CW could have had there own BSG

Finally saw the pilot episode and to me there was a little bit of a slow start, as most pilots are, but a lot of cool action shots thanks to Mr. John Woo. As I watched it a lot of interpersonal stories seemed brewing between the characters, some father son issues, kinda a like another SCI-FI show thats out there. This show could have really been something given the chance, oh well I'm sure this was just another brilliant decision by the CW network execs. that keeps that channel forever swimming in mediocrity. Not willing to take any risks, and rehashing the same old crap like 90210 and now Melrose Place, are you f...ing kidding me. Those morons are getting rid of Reaper for Melrose Place.

I just saw the pilot too and I thought it was horrible. The acting was horrible and the writing was even worse. There's nothing original about the aliens, either. It's the same old "guy in a rubber mask" *beep* and the ship designs are really lame, too. This pilot reminded me of a higher budget episode of The Outer Limits - not the classic '60's version of course but the butt-clenchingly awful 1990's version. The premise holds real promise, but if anybody plans on remaking Lost in Space in the future they would be well advised to hew closer to the original version, like the theatrical movie did. That means yes to Dr. Smith and no to an alien menace, Earth recovering from an interstellar war, etc.

The WB turned this down, not The CW. The CW is the result of The WB and UPN shutting down, but it's not the same network. They might have made some of the same bad choices, but not the same people. Most of The WB staff are no longer with The CW anymore, nor are most of UPN's staff.
