Fair and balanced discussion?

A fairly well-balanced but technical discussion of the problem can be found here: http://www.answers.com/topic/alex-kuhlman. The issue is one that cannot realistically be avoided, and both Democrats and Republicans have plans, though the D plan is a limitation-of-consumption and alternative-fuels model, and the R plan is a explore-more and drill-more and alternative-fuels model. The problem is made bigger with countries like China tooling up for an industrial evolution, but smaller with the advent of more fuel-efficient cars and (perhaps in 10-20 years) fuel cell technology. The documentary does a good job of exposing the topic, but the last chapter is yet to be written. Who does so will likely depend more on politics and economics than on who has the best documentary.
