6 fingers in the hand

Has anyone noticed that in the "Disarming" episode, right at the begining, when the man (the vet) looks at his hand it clearly has 6 fingers ? Then he closes his hand and it has 5 fingers again, and the he has a seizure.

Later in the episode the hand will still have 5 fingers (even when it looks rot).

Weird...
