share...not to mention this show is about the brain. I wish they showed this earlier this fall when we talked about the brain in Psychology!!! House (which I dont watch) is about any kind of medical conflict. And isn't House about House?? 3 lbs involves 3 doctors and I guess the guy who was up 24 hours tonights episode... *shrug*

Nope, its about a antisocial doctor and his team solving cases that other doctors cant cure. This season, is all about house and his after ketamine therapy effects, which leads him back to vicodine. I still prefer house m.d. than this rip-off.
Pffft, those who say that this show isn't a blatant rip-off of House M.D. are kidding themselves. Gee, a cold anti-social doctor who makes little witty one-liners and no one really gets along with. Oh, and he happens to be a genius. Hrm, sounds an awful lot like House. Only different aspect to the show is that 3 lbs. deals strictly with the brain and that Dr. Hanson (lol, kinda similar to Dr. House huh) doesn't have a limp. I mean come on, even the way the show starts off every week is a blatant rip off.

Hansen is not a loud drug addict, He's a regular surgeon that works well with people and the only witty coment he ever made was "We already have surgical robots their called interns", That implies that he sees interns as people who help him with his surgeries to me very UN-House because House doesn't think he needs anyones help. The show is also about Dr Singer a loving caring surgeon. Saying 3lbs is a House rip is just like saying any medical show with a cold hearted doctor as a main character is a House rip.

2. Dr. Seger reminds me of Wilson too much with these hazy eyes and his behaviour to dr. Hanson.
House is levels much better :)
p.s. I tried to watch 3 libs, but I couldn't.
But I am rewatching House's episodes with the biggest pleasure every time that I can.

They should really create a new main character template for medical shows. House was on first.

Well, Medical Investigation was on first, but FOX did a much better job with giving the characters... character. Hence House is on for 3 years and MI was cancelled after one season.

shareI've watched 2 seasons of House and all of 3 lbs and can honestly say that I think the characters in 3 lbs are a lot more captivating and interesting than those in House. I mean, I even enjoyed the medical problems in 3 lbs more.
House is just the same every week and I'm pretty sick of the similar happenings and stories. I liked Hugh Laurie though, but the rest of the characters (or cast) are so unengaging that I just want to change the channel every few minutes, but then Hugh steps into the picture and starts his usual rant which is a little funny I admit.
I don't have anything bad to say about the characters and cast of 3 lbs so that's obviously my personal favourite of the two shows, rip-off or not.
I rather watch 8 episodes of a show I enjoy than 3 whole seasons of the same old House.
i dont know ANYTHING about 3lbs before i watched it, so there are my clear thoughts:
"oh..it is medical show?" "hm..same special effects as House" "Music very similar"(i even searched for compositer's match - nope) "oh..cool bold House-like guy!" "same chats about moral, even same lines about patients names.."
and this is after 15 min of show.
Verdict: Rip-off, but i will watch it, cause seems good one to me.
I liked the show. I thought Stanley Tucci was a great character and it never occurred to me that it was anything like "House".

Your contradicting yourself. But back to the topic at hand, I can't judge if it's a rip or not since I haven't seen it..yet
he's not contradicting himself. he's referring to two different characters. Hanson is the cold hearted doctor, while seger is the loving, caring doctor.
shareit can be a House-rip but at least there are no episodes where: near the ending the doctor goes to other doctor. they talk about something like chess. he says something totally unimportant. and House gets the idea like a sign from God and they solve the problem.
it was 2 times in House and it was so annoying and forced i don't wanna watch House yet. there are many brilliant episodes in House but in 3lbs there is not this story-telling at least. so I can say I liked 3 lbs more.
I hope they bring it back. If not then Room or Threshold but this is unfair.
