You know this movie is dead stupid when....
... Grandma does copycat versions of Ken super uppercut, Gouken's vertical Hurricane Kick, and K' One Inch move.
Seriously, I was like "WTF? Am I watching a fighting game or what?"

Yeah,right!!!!
shareThat was the whole point, lol
There were many video game references and props throughout the movie. That was intentional I am sure.
It's because the Twins are 'Gamers"
And I think Rob Hoffman did a great job of showing his funny side.
I thought he was hilarious!
Ya, some of the movie was silly, but I liked it.
I think it's perfect for a 7 year old
"Blessed are the cracked, for it is they who let in the light"
You point out that right pal, I'm about want to reply :)

I'm not sure what 'TS' is

TS is Thread Starter.
I said that you pointed out alright, this one :
"It's because the Twins are 'Gamers" "
and for the pal, Isn't it same as 'friend' ? I learned 'pal' language at Playstation's Game called Musashi. So it's same as I called you friend, whether you he or she.
Hiya again,,
You know, I'm still kinda new at some of the lingo here, well, just about everywhere, really LOL!
I appreciate your helping me out on that.
I don't play PlayStation,,I'm 46,, and I still love Atari's, 'Space Invaders';0)
So, I guess I can let you call me pal.
Or you could call me Juli.
That's my name;0)
Thanks again!

Well, it's just that Raymond's mom is great in ELR but seeing her slide down the stair railing & do some kung-fu, well...just looks really stupid.
FYC: Fantastic Mr. Fox, Nine, Crazy Heart, District 9
Yeah!! It should have been Vin Diesel.
Sheesh!!
I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
I just watched it and thought it was a great family movie. Too bad it wasn't promoted more. The movie did what it intended to do. Overcomimg obsticals, showcase strenghts: mathlete, leadership, concern for your sibling, trusting siblings, unification, letting those with the skills do (gamers), overcoming hostilities: funky boyfriend and aliens, trusting judgements even from someone very young, and finally, don't count out the old folks.
The language was suitable for the entire family and the action was never to intense to give anyone nightmares. (Although I had a nightmare about going without the "dish" for a week.)
Just see it for what it is; a sweet family oriented flick bringing all members of the family to understandings accross the board.
Scary...
