This movie was obviously lame but

damn was sylvester a fine ass. I watched this whole dumb movie just to see glimpses of him talking, walking, taking off his shirt, licking his lips... lol

This movie was beyond lame; it was awful. Stomp the Yard was so bad that it made ATL in all its roller-skating thug glory seem like The Godfather. The dialogue was so amateurish and ghetto that I thought it was written by school kids riding the downtown 3 train to New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn. Why they don't make black movies like Boyz n the Hood, Menace II Society and so forth anymore is beyond me and rather shameful. Even movies like Drumline are atrocious but offer *some* level of guilty pleasure. Stomp the Yard's direction was so shaky, I thought Michael J. Fox was the cameraman. And now they have this new Step Up thug-dancing movie in 3-D. Great, nothing like seeing the Puma and Nike whites flying at me in the theater.
Too funny...come to think of it, the people on this thread sound like the characters in this movie...haha...j/k. Love - drexel

It wasn't lame to the OP either. For whatever reason, she is fronting. There are movies other than Stomp The Yard with Brian White (Sylvester) in them. She wanted to see it.
