DVD release?

Any idea when this should be on the dvd market? I haven't gotten a chance to seeing it in its limited cinematic release and now I anxiously wait its arrival to dvd. I can't find a release date anywhere?

The R2 release (UK) is already out (but DVD only).
Amazon is giving the R1 release as May 10th (but note that what Amazon is advertising is a DVD/Blu-ray combo, and is priced accordingly).

Damn. Hopefully there's a dvd alone version out. I hate this new Bluray trend.

Yeah ... who the heck would want better picture and sound?

"Yeah ... who the heck would want better picture and sound?"

At the risk of putting words into someone-else's mouth:
I don't think the OP's criticizing Blu-Ray per se, but rather complaining about the current trend for R1 discs to only be available as 2-disc Blu-Ray/DVD combos - at a suitably-inflated price. It's often not possible now to buy a single (and therefore cheaper) Blu-Ray or DVD version.

Not everyone's bothered about upgrading to Blu-Ray, and for that matter why should Blu-Ray owners have to pay for a spare DVD copy?

My exact thoughts, Spielburger. And thank you for providing the information. I really wish they'd stop slowly forcing us into Bluray. Most, if not all new dvds now hardly have any features and they make it seem as if though adding features to a dvd won't fit (they put them all on Blurays now). Whatever happened to dvds packed with extras and/or special 2 disc editions? Lame.
