Any one know where the Scottish West Coast scenes are meant to be?

I read somewhere that it was Mull and Oban. Having just got back from a holiday in Mull (and passed through Oban) I wasn't sure exactly where! I thought the village with the pub bore a passing resemblance to Iona - although the cartoon makes it more mountainous.
