Music

4th time watching this movie in the last 6 months. finally realized how much the music makes the movie...

does anyone know any artists that play very mellow music like this? something i can play while i wonder around on a rainy day outside and get lost?

You could try Royksopp. They're a Norwegian duo who produce laid-back trip-hop/trance, but with bit more of a beat than ambient music.

I wanted to reply to your post just to say that I agree with you that the music in this film is a very important aspect of it. It goes a long way in setting the mood.
It is very gentle and atmospheric. I think the movie would have suffered without it.

Try Yann Tiersen, though i'm sure you're familiar with his work.

To OP. I agree.

Bill Ryder-Jones' "If..." album and Ludovico Einaudi's "In A Time Lapse" album. I've recently downloaded this free EP by Splitter, and it's similar and pretty good too: http://finaltune.bandcamp.com/album/himmelsfenster-ep

Aural Method is great, especially his "When I Drifted I Heard A Faint Melody" album.

I'd also mention Yann Tiersen; his Amelie and Tabarly soundtracks come to mind, amongst some of his other stuff.
