im searching for a french film because thats the assignment given to us by my retarded teacher and i found this one but i cant do this one cuz it is not out yet and i know nothing about it, but the title seems cool and it seems intresting but i dont know any of the actors..can any one tell me what its about?
Or does anyone recommend any other french films??
cuz i would be eternally grateful. actaully plz list ur favourite french fillm.

I haven't really seen many others, but one of my favourites would be The Dreamers.

try "les choristes" it was nominated for best international film academy award in 2002. just imdb it and see if you like it. the main actor in hellphone became famous because of that movie.

Yeah, Les Choristes, or The Chorus, is a really good French film to do because its quite easy to get in America. Hellphone is only being released in France and Belgium and probably not in the US. (seriously, I've never been so disappointed to live here in all my life).

i have a question for daphnecken93.
do you know when it is going to be on dvd?
i live in the us, but my friend is traveling
there this summer and im hoping itll be on
dvd, so she can buy it for me.
but i am also equally dissapointed about hellphone
not being released here, it looks soo good.

but for the french film thing,
yes i agree with the movie les choristes
i also love amelie, which is a little different
and if you dont like random movies, then you
probably shouldnt pick that one, but umm lets
see, if you like documentarys etre et avoir is
alright. i watched a good movie in french class
last year, but i dont remember the name, sorry.
the only one we watched that actually stuck
with me was les choristes. :) hehe.

When Les Choristes is going to be on DVD or Hellphone? Les Choristes has already been out on DVD... you probably meant Hellphone. I have no idea, so sorry!! I don't even know if it will be available in the US when it does get out on DVD. I don't live in France (gaahhh). Your friend is so lucky!

Welllll there's a problem with buying the DVD in France, which I was going to do this summer. European DVD's and VHS's don't work in the US. When I moved here from Switzerland I lost all of my old films, and all our home videos have to be played on our old European player. Since we don't have a European DVD player, that's never going to work out. It sucks =(

Well you can play the dvd on your computeur and get your self a programme like dvd ghost that allow you to play all region.

You could buy a region free DVD player. The only problem with buying the French region DVD of Hellphone is that it doens't have english subtitles...or so I heard.

Go in with no expectations, come out with no disappointments.
