I've really enjoyed this movie and would like to see more movies of this kind. Any recommendations? Not necessarily the same theme but any French film that focuses on teenagers would do.
shareLOL(Laughing Out Loud) might be worth trying. It's a 2008 film with Sophie Marceau.

Yes I love dark comedies, or black comedies, or thriller comedies... and contrasted genres as such that blend in so well :)
So, you must see DEAD END (2003), the movie the guys watch at the theater in the movie Hellphone... Dead end had 2 writers and directors, it so happen that one of the Dead End writers and directors is a co-writter of this movie Hellphone (I know this sound complex), but it kinda feels similar, except Dead End is much more of a masterpece to me :)
But I liked Hellphone very much too :)
Then you should see Slither :)
The Next movie you should see is Feast, and it's 2 sequels, but for me the first is best!
Then you should see Shawn of the dead and Hot fuzz, Severance...
And if you're in for a classic try Braindead a.k.a. Dead Alive
Or Army Of Darkness
Or Duplex
All movies above are considered in part horror or thriller, or just plain black humour comedy, they are all lots of fun too with ingenious dark humour.
I recommend, you don't watch the trailers for these movies, it could ruin you the fun...
I'm just sayin'.
