Get educated!

Ok, I was born in 1976, a full decade after HST started his writing for Rolling Stone. Once I had read one of his novels I was hooked - I have read *almost* all of his books - sourced new, second-hand, libraries - you name it, I'd track it
down. In no particular order: Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72, Fear and Loathing in America, The Rum Diaries, Screwjack, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hells Angels, Songs of the Doomed, The Great Shark Hunt, Better Than Sex and still I am trying to obtain another half dozen or so of his published works.
I'm in Australia and had no problem grasping his more US political works (eg: F&L on the Campaign Trail '72, Better Than Sex etc). If you really consider yourself
a true HST fan you definitely owe it to yourself to buy Gonzo (released 2007, a verbal biography from countless sources of people that came into HST's realm).
On a final note - leave Johnny Depp alone - Hunter did truly regard him as his son - at the Owl Creek Farm, the basement was always referred to as the "War Room". After Depp spent months living with HST in preparation for filming F&L in Las Vegas (and Depp states that he'd been a long-time fan of HST for years earlier so there's no truth to any "jumping on the band-wagon *beep* HST made it perfectly clear that the basement room (where Depp stayed) would from then on and
forever be known as "Johnny's Room".
Anyway, sorry for the long rant but PLEASE go out and buy GONZO.
