I honestly think that the show would've lasted a little longer if...

they didn't force/over-do certain plots.

Examples:
Nate Ray turning out to be Eddie's long lost child. This plots was so unnecessary and didn't really add any excitement to the show. They should've just let him be only Dana's son and left it at that.

Lizzie's cheesy "High School Musical" moments. Since when do students just break into dance in the middle of detention? Lizzie being in the play was fine but we could've done without all the extra-ness.

And lastly, I don't know about anyone else, but they were seriously over-doing it with Charles and Cassie. It was like "Ok, they love for each other can conquer ANYTHING! We get it! But enough already!"

I believe they would've been alright otherwise.

I definitely agree with you about Nate Ray being Eddie's son. I hated it. In my opinion, Nate Ray had ZERO chemistry with Eddie and the Suttons. They should've just let Nate Ray be Dana's son and left it at that.

My opinion on this is more indifferent. I didn't like it or hate it.

Sorry but I STRONGLY DISAGREE with you about Charles and Cassie. Charles and Cassie's beautiful love story was one of my favorites on the show. In fact, Charles and Cassie are my all-time favorite television/movie couple. I was obsessed with them.....still am. LOVE Charles and Cassie! I loved that their love could conquer anything. It was a refreshing change from the usual dysfunctional, backstabbing, and cheating relationships. And I'm not the only one who loved them, Charles and Cassie had/have a pretty big fanbase.

*Off to watch another Charles/Cassie music video on youtube.*

btw -- Like I said I STRONGLY AGREE with you about Nate Ray being Eddie's son. I HATED it. And the other thing I hated on the show was the killing of Johnny Nightingale. I LOVED Johnny Nightingale. Killing him was so unnecessary. I loved Johnny's friendship with Taye and his sweet friendship/romance with Lizzy. I didn't like any of the other guys they put Lizzy with. I only liked her with Johnny Nighingale. Johnny was a great character, very unique, and a breath of fresh air. I was so hurt when they killed him off the show.

I believe they would've been alright otherwise

I don't believe low ratings was the reason for the cancellation. From what I understand, the show still had good ratings.

I just started watching this show & I agree with you 110% about "Chassie" being super lame & cheesy. Cassie is so annoying; you just want to smack her in the face.

For me is was moving the show to different hours making it hard to view.
