Don't let the politically correct dinosaurs scare you off

see this movie and decide for yourself. This is a terrific, entertaining movie with breathtaking cinematography in exotic locations which explores the human dynamic in a way which reflects today's headlines. It will challenge anyone viewing it with an open mind to experience some rather thoughtful insights into the immense divide between two worlds.

For example, a scene of whirling dervishes in a dance was absolutely beautifully rendered, punctuated by the sternly delivered message that this was a dance of love -- love of God! The meeting of the protagonists was explained as either a random event involving a car engine or the will of Allah. These are diametrically opposing viewpoints of causality and reverence that are brought out with respect to both sides, not cynically papered over and ignored in favor of a moral lecture or feel good Kumbaya movie experience.

Harvey Keitel displayed immense courage in making a movie which did not slavishly follow the Hollywood edict to blame America and the West for all the worlds problems, and actually contained parts which were critical of a branch of religion other than Christianity. That courageous act will no doubt get him blacklisted by Hollywood for a decade or two. You ought to respond by seeing the movie and making up your own minds, not being scared off by those having a "how dare you" meltdown and demanding you bury your head in the sand.

You are funny. This movie was bad in all ways imaginable. Even if you do feel sympathetic with the message it wants to bring to its viewers.
