Can I watch Fate/Zero and then skip to the movie?

I heard that the movie is a summary of Fate/Stay Night so if I know the backstory from the prequel, Fate/Zero, will it make more sense? I've heard that the movie goes through events pretty quickly.

Yes you can skip this and watch Fate/Zero the first episode will be terrible since it will feel like a lecture of very important info. However, you can NOT watch UBW it is an EXTREMELY shortened version of the show and would be a cluster *beep*. Wait for Ufotable's Fate/Stay Night and watch that.

The anime is fine. The problem is people keep comparing it up to Fate/Zero so it stands absolutely no chance. It doesn't measure up at all to the original visual novel or the prequel, but it's not all bad. If you go into anything with no expectations then you won't be disappointed.
