Haggard - another hypocrite bites the dust

Scary if you see what power this Pharisee had.
Wait and they will somehow turn it their way.

If you wanna believe in a god - fine with me (who cares)- but PLEASE no extremes.
And I dont care which god is yours.

PEACE, over and out!

My sin here - gloating ;-)

actually, u should care about people being religious, because unfortunately these brainwashed people vote in elections that impact us all.

Hi Shawshank!

Misunderstanding here (sorry)- I meant who cares if it is fine with me or not....

You are totally correct. We should all care.

PEACE, over and out!

For me the main problem religion places upon society is the beleif in a single God. Christianity and Islamic religions are both Monotheistic, each beleive in their own 'jealous' God.

No God but God.

And while that continues to be the message of each faith, science and opposing religions will always be in conflict.

I'm a very strong atheist, yet I accept a religious point of view from someone else. I don't think I can disprove them, but at the same time am quite assured that they cannot prove their God is real.

Only problem is that "they" have sometimes problems with accepting your point of view.

Right now I have a tendency toward the direction of....the root of all evil.

I still cant believe that 3 out of 10 presidential GOP candidates are not "believing" in evolution. Are they f.cking serious?!

Cheers

I don't believe in God, but I especially don't believe in Politicians!

The Real Root Of All Evils is politics...

I'd take it a step further and implicate dogma in all its forms. No system can ever be the one true way to enlightenment, be it religious, secular, economic or political. And yet people fall in line with all manner of systems of belief that try to claim just that. If good things happen to you, it must be your belief that is responsible. If bad things happen, well, that's just your own damn fault. Personal responsibility is always defered when good things happen to believers. Any thing bad is always your own fault because the belief system can't possibly be allowed to be seen as flawed!

If anything there needs to be concerted attack on tribalism, territoriality and fantacism.

Bill maher had a great point about Haggard:-

"This forces us to look at what has happened-is it genetic? maybe Haggard was simply BORN a hypocrite!"
