Cristobal's sister and the overdose

So Cristobal's sister takes an overdose and everyone who saw her pass out almost, take her straight to the house, where she appears to have dozed off in Cristobal's arms.

Wouldn't it have been more sensible to like take her to hospital?

I also liked how she had the guts to stand up to her stupid brother. Way to go!
