Seasons 1 through 3 was good, all the rest were awful

Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of the show Dexter. But I'd say that seasons 1 through 3 were pretty good, entertaining, and watchable at least. Michael C. Hall was always great. His acting performance was never the problem. But when season 4 was made, the entire show went downhill from there. Dexter and Rita living together was a big mistake for the show. The plots started getting boring and super unrealistic. And plus, it cracks me up how everyone in the show, just so happens to be a secretive killer. All these twists and turns. Of course, there are a ton of flaws and plot holes that I could point out...but I'd rather not. Deb's character became extremely annoying after a while. The entire police department became a joke. Sometimes it felt like I was watching CSI Miami and other times it felt like a soap opera. So many unbelievable and boring scenarios. When Rita was killed off, I thought the show was going to redeem itself...but it didn't. Every season just got worse. I basically kept watching new seasons, just to see how much more awful it was gonna get. The very last episode of Dexter was just terrible. Whoever came up with that ending, must've ran out of ideas. Dexter becomes a "lumberjack"? Seriously?? That was just laughable. And killing off Deb so abruptly was a big mistake. She had been a main character since the beginning of the show. I wish Deb's character would've had a different demise. All in all, season 1 through 3 were pretty good. All the other seasons after that...lame.

You really thought that S3 was good and that S4 was awful? That says enough about you to negate the rest of your posts. Even S5 was a great season.
