I'm neither Christian nor gay, and I thought this was a marvelous film. It's so hard to produce something that doesn't take sides, doesn't have to make SOMEBODY look evil, but makes people look like what they are - people, with both flaws and value. Nicely done in this film.

I agree -- it was really well-balanced. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I liked the way the Chad Allen's character finally found a middle ground. And I'm not Christian or gay, either. :)

That was a bit surprising that it really didn't trash either side of the ex-gays debate. I think I was true to someone from a gay perspective as well as being honest and understanding from the Christian point of view as well. so much in the movie was concentrating on someone "path" or direction and I think it fulfilled that entirely. Unlike much of we see in the ex-gay movement, no one running Genesis had a homophobic sentimentality.

I really enjoyed this movie and its story. I am gay and thought it was thoughtfully balanced and for it dealing with religion, didn't find it one bit condeming. Bravo, it was just a very good film. And the acting was terrific.
