The song that plays when they split up and he is sitting in front of the television watching that sped up drive is "Dayvan Cowboy" by Boards of Canada.

They are my favourite band and I was quite surprised to hear them in a movie, especially a horror movie, as they are played far from the mainstream and not well known, except in some idm and electronica circles.

The song is from their release "The Campfire Headphase."

Two items of note: That is not the video from the song playing on the tube and they are Scottish.

EMI own the publishing to the soundtrack...

A new band called 'Tongue' did the songs for the Mark Griffin character, they are signed with EMI.
They performed all the songs except the following:
Song in car: block party
song in studio on laptop: James Edward Barker
Song on video wall: boards Of canada
end song: the prodigy

Its a Uk Movie Boards of Canada are pretty well known in the uk BMW used one of their tracks on an advert and pretty much any documentary on channel 4 tend to use their music as a soundtrack. Love Boards of canada, kinda liked that scene as a bit of visual candy didn't think much of the film though couldn't get my head around a supposed dead seventies singer who's recorded output sounded like sub standard late 90's indie rock, I couldn't suspend my disbelief on that one :). Add to that the fact the plot made little sense and the flashy editing was pointless and just served to give you an headache. The bit where he isloated the drums from the audio stream he had recorded was utter nonsense and not possible ditto the voice software she had on her laptop... but they had no bearing on it being a poor horror film, it wasn't scary and I predicted the ending half way in which isn't like me I'm usually quite slow off the mark hihi. The acting was above average and it was well made if confusingly put together. Unfortanately the good points do not make it in any way a worth while watch...
