I'll admit to liking crap along the lines of any horror movie.... but 2005 gave us two of the worst movies I have ever seen (movies, mind you, not just horror movies)....

Both are re-makes....

The Fog (2005) & When A Stranger Calls (2005).

In terms of bad horror...Mr. Jingles and Bone Sickness get my vote...for now at least...But, I actually liked Primevel.

Good Cop and Bad Cop left for the day.

Hrm, weird. I thought it was pretty good. Definitely made me feel claustrophobic. My only complaint is the ending. I find it funny that the UK ending is even worse than the one they showed in the US. Should have just ended with the car getting smashed by the truck, killing the girl.

I love horror movies, and recently I feel like I've been bombarded with some serious CRAP. Primeval wasn't that great, but at least there were parts I of it I enjoyed. The following movies just made me angry:

An American Haunting
The Fog (2005)
The Grudge 2
The Messengers
The Hitcher (2007)
Dark Ride
Black Christmas (2006)
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

And most recently.... Hostel 2 (what a horrible movie!)

PS... I can't believe someone mentioned "The Descent" as an awful movie, I think that one will be remembered for years to come as one of the better ones!

Not even CLOSE! Check these out:

Curucu, Beast Of The Amazon (1956) no creature!
Happy Birthday To Me (1981) 3 of us saw it, 3 different opinions how it ended!
Bloodsucking Pharaohs in Pittsburgh (1991) you can't set out to make a cult movie
The Dark (1979) bad script, horrible sfx, decent cast wasted
Night Warning (1983) horrible picture from the creator of Bewitched!
The Final Terror (1983) bunch of soon-to-be famous earning their SAG cards
The Creeping Terror(1964) often considered the worst, but it is absolutely hilarious

Any horror sequel should probably qualify, especially if the original was not very good.

And the absolute worst: Sledgehammer (1983) shot on video! has to be seen to be believed.

You're telling me you honestly thought Blair Witch was any good? I'm sorry, I mean, I try to be respectful of other peoples opinions, but come on. And this is coming from someone who liked cloverfield.

I actually enjoyed Blair witch, but ONLY after reading some of the "expanded universe" where they explain more of what was actually GOING on in the story, it added a far more interesting element, (I'm not saying it was a GREAT movie, but it wasnt bad, very effectively done for a no budget flick). And I would have to agree with those who didnt like the Descent, I did feel it was overrated, really not at all that interesting, and while some of you may not have liked the cave, the plots where disgustingly similar, but the cave came first. However, for my nominations of the worst horror movies ever...
