Primeval axed after three series

Science fiction drama series Primeval has been axed after "three very successful series", ITV has confirmed.

Starring Ben Miller, Douglas Henshall, and ex-S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt, the show followed a group of scientists studying prehistoric creatures.

"High quality drama remains a key part of the ITV schedule, although our current focus is on post-watershed production," ITV said in a statement.

The show had an average audiences of about five million this year.

The figure was down from around six million for the first two series.

Earlier this year, ITV announced 600 job cuts and says it is now aiming to cut a further £40m in 2010.

Primeval may have suffered because of the big-budget computer effects needed to generate its fantastical creatures.

Website Total Sci-Fi said it had been told by a source that Primeval's production team were "devastated" but that they had "every intention of keeping Primeval alive in other ways".

It's not only wrong, it's so wrong, Yeah It Is, A Matter Of Fact So So Very Fu***** Wrong......

Why is it always the god Sci-Fi shows there have to go, and not some of the lame drama- or comedy- shows, it like we don't count as much as the "normal" viewer of other TV-shows, and I don't understand that, because I know for a fact, that if a Sci-Fi Fan likes what he or she watches, then they are more likely to purchase the original DVD then a viewer of a other kind of TV-shows, so the one thing they apparently have against us, is that we are obviously to few, when they're comparing us with the viewer's of all the other TV-shows.....

I know that of all of the TV-series I got in my DVD collection, that almost every Sci-Fi series are complete from either the movie/pilot or the number one episode, right up till the last episodes or in some cases a movie or two, the few that isn't complete is because they aren't on the market yet, or is the latest of a still running sci-fi series, for example "Smallville", "Heroes", "Torchwood", "Doctor Who", "Lost", "Eureka", "Futurama"[Ended in 2003 after season 4, but started up again in 2007], e.t.c., e.t.c., e.t.c., and there for is there still lacking the last season or two, to complete this series, and then there are also the TV-series that just are finished, like "Stargate: Atlantis", "Battlestar: Galactica", "Primeval", "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles", and so on, and so on, and also these TV-series are lacking the last episodes or boxes to be complete, like the earlier Sci-Fi series that I have in my collection starting with all the 6 series of the" Star Trek" Series [TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY & ENT], "Star Gate [SG-1]", Farscape, "LEXX", "Andromeda", "Babylon 5", "Dark Angel", "X-Files", "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer", "Angel", "Charmed", "Firefly", and so forth, and so forth.....

but when I start collect some other tv-series, for Instance started I with "E.R." some time last in the 90', and i only got the first two seasons [Out of a total of 15 Seasons], and I got "Law & Order" and her I only got one season [Out of 20 Seasons, and still running], and I got "Without A Trace" but only the 2 first seasons [Out of 7 Seasons, and still running], And I got many many more examples, but as you can see there is some pattern there, and I know that I'm not the only one, thats collects in this manner, and thats why I say that this is one of the things that the company's forget to factor in when they have to determine, what ever a show will be canceled or not......

And this one shouldn't had been one of the canceled series, because it was a brand new concept, with some brilliant actors & actress, and had a new and innervation script every new week, but okay all that is of course only in my opinion.....
