Alligator
Romancing the Stone
Live and Let Die

- Alligator
- Alligator II: The Mutation

They both are categorized as B-movies but I think they pretty fun to watch especially the first one. It's quite scary in some scenes. The second one seems a bit disappointing as the blood and gore are not as much as the first.

Lake Placid?

I definitely agree on Lake Placid...Betty White adds an added comedic element to it..."Mrs. Bickerman: If I had a dick, this is where I'd tell you to suck it!"

If you cast your net out a little further and look for reptilian films rather than just alligator (no, not going to suggest crocodile dundee :-P) then you should take a look at Anaconda...it's one of the classic comedy horrors out there, although it wasn't made to have comedy elements to it...Jon Voight brings the comedy :-)

Everyone seemed to forget Frankenfish, that was pretty fun.

Well, it is in the same style, you could easily replace it with any type of water bound monster/animal and you would still have the same film. Im assuming people wanting to see more Croc/Gator films, would also be interested in the Genre itself more than just giant Crocs and Gators.

reply

blood surf is not with a gator, it's with a saltwater croc.

Uhm who cares about what type of reptile it is? As long as it's related to a crocodile, I don't think anyone would give a crap.

A couple of recent ones are Dark Water, and Rogue. Both about crocodiles, both set in Australia. Haven't seen either myself, so can't give you a recommendation.
