Is that the new fad?
If a horror movie (actually, any movie) is recently released, it suddenly becomes the worst movie ever? I don't see how that works.
Someone please, explain.

I overrate underrated movies, and underrate overrated movies.
Yea pretty much every creature feature has a "worst movie ever" thread.
I don't think actual FANS of creature movies hated Primeval. I'm sure there are some, but it sounds like people who hate on this movie are average movie goers who only like movies with Tom Hanks or begin with "Spiderman".
If you are a fan of HORROR movies, then you probably don't care for creature features because they tend to not be scary. They're more action/adventure than horror anyway. Stick with supernatural/slasher movies if you are a fan of horror movies. Don't come watch the creature features and EXPECT them to be scary. Unless you're like 5 years old they never are.
For me, I'm not a fan of chick flicks. So I don't watch them!
If I did watch them I would be tempted to come on to imdb.com and post a WORST MOVIE EVER thread for each one I see.
Some people hate all movies like Primeval, yet they're so stupid they probably go and watch every one of them. Here's an idea of what one of these people think: "hum de dum dum I hated Anacondas, the Cave, Lake Placid, Deep Blue Sea....I think i'm gonna watch PRIMEVAL...Surely, surely it'll be better. YAY i'm so smart"
Pretty much every creature film other than the first Jaws film has been labelled the worst movie ever at some point.
And yes it reminds me of people who saw Blades of Glory and complain about how much they hate Will Ferrell and the movies he does; ugh he's been in how many movies so far? You hate him so much and yet you STILL go and see him?
The damn color correction ruins every movie, that's why every new movie sucks and is the worst.

I remember hearing it about a year ago and didn't pay much attention to it. I caught it on TV the other night and missed a few parts, but was shocked how good it was.
Horror movies definitely get no respect. I agree this was dismissed immediately and I was partly guilty of it. I didn't think it looked terrible, I just didn't even really remember seeing it get much play before it came out.

I watched this movie the other day and while it wasn't very good it did not become my 'worst movie ever' - that remains with 'Anaconda 3' closely followed by 'Bullet in the Head (1990)'
