The very end of the film? Spoilers!

What was it that they were waiting for, time wise, at the end. What did the specific time signify? Perhaps I missed something that explain this.

Thanks.

The plural of mouse is mice. The plural of goose is geese. Why is the plural of moose not meese?

During the film the youngest daughter's watch would beep at the same time everyday. We learned that her mother's watch was set to beep at this time too. So the little girl and her mother would know that the other was thinking of them at the very same time. We see at the end that this tradition will continue.
