why all the bashing? I like MOSF

I watched the 1st episode and i liked it, sure it was predictable but it was fun.

the 2nd episode was great, just finished watching it and Terry o'Quinn was very good as always, i kinda also predicted what was about to happend but even though it was as i thought, the delivery and acting was very good.

i like MOSF, i dont understand why anyone keeps bashing it?

the SCI-FI is much less noticeble, its not STAR WARS kind, it is the "something is going on that isnt your usual earthly thing".

i give MOSF 8/10 and i cant wait for the 3rd episode.

Why?

To paraphrase Bill Clinton, because we can.

Also, it's set itself up as a fairly big target.

Now, to the producers of this series, paraphrasing Harry Truman, if you can't take the political heat, get out of the political kitchen.

Don't take the criticism of the series personally, though, you of course have the right to enjoy it and the two episodes left.

@RiXRex - i understand you can bash anything because you can, i have never put that in doubt, was just asking why all the bashing...you know, like even though its not a disaster people seem to bash it just for fun or something (at least i thought so, im probably, surely wrong though).

i just wanted to say that i liked the episodes regardless of them being predictable or not.

1 thing i can say for certain though, is that this isnt the same quality of MASTERS OF HORROR, MOH was superb and i loved each episode very much, was high quality with only 1 or 2 episodes a bit weak but still ok.

i agree MOSF is trying to set a high stardard it cannot meet, that being said it's midly entertaining. :)

didnt take anything personal RixRex, so dont worry, i got your point. hehe

Actually, I do see it as a disaster. I don't think it is anywhere near the level of the shows it emulates, and for me that's because the writers and producers have a shrill political agenda.

My reply was jest, mainly because all of the other threads have lengthy paragraphs written by those who didn't like the program either and already stating why.

Since you like Masters of Horror, might I suggest viewing some of the several feature-length episodes of a mid-1970s BBC production named Thriller, from writer Brian Clemens.

I don't really know where to begin with what’s wrong with MOSF.
a) The soundtrack is terribly irritating
b) The dialog feels very static and staged
c) The stories are either dull and simplistic or MOSF makes them that way.
d) Stephen Hawking’s voiceover always feels out of place
e) The show feels like it has a miniscual budget (based on cinematography,
special effects & the sound track)
f) With the enormous amount of high quality science fiction books around, how can you go wrong.

Especially with so many other high quality series around, who's got time to watch something so painfully dull.

I hope this series is cut some slack, I thought the first episode was a bit rubbish but the second one was good, it seems like it gets better episode by episode for me. A thing that annoys me though is I can not understand a word Stephen Hawking says sometimes, can't they get a human voice to do the bloody voice over so annoying and just leave stephen hawking with the intro credits.
