This was an awesome series

I just saw the last episode. It was like a big budget 13 episode movie. Sucks that it was cancelled. NBC should have gave it more support.

At least they gave us a satisfying ending without a big cliffhanger that will never be resolved...just the possibility of renewal with Knapp and King as partner private i's. I guess a new title would be in order. I would really like to see that happen.

A really great show that deserved more of a chance. It make's me mad that crap like Las Vegas and all the reality show's they pander still air but something with a little edge, storyline and good actors doesnt get a shot. Seinfeld's ratings sucked for the first 2 season's but look what happened. In order to become a TV executive you must first get a suit and then let the guy your going to replace hit you in the head with a pick axe. X

I agree with all of you!

It's just a rotton shame!!!

I kind of think there was a cliffhanger at the end, like when they were planning season 2. I hate it that Kellogg was still tormenting Knapp about the little girl he failed to find!!! : (

I just watched this series on DVD without even knowing it was a cancelled series, and was honestly shocked that Kidnapped had a high-caliber production value abounding with superior acting by all cast members, a flawless plot construction, and seamless action/shooting sequences.

All of what you mention made this show expensive to produce. The networks have higher ratings expectations for expensive shows. Kidnapped just failed to deliver on those expectations.

Also, nets know that serialized dramas don't pick up audience as the season wears on, because people are less able to join them after a few episodes. With the ratings slippage, NBC felt compelled to push the panic button.

Just finished watching it on DVD. Wow! It was really, really good! I'm a tough person to please because I've seen a lot of TV shows and movies, but this show was really impressive. I just feel bad that I missed it when it was on.

NBC killed the show straight out of the gate by not keeping it at the scheduled time slot. By changing the time slot around all over the place, they made it hard for the fans to follow. First they got scared and changed the premier of the first episode to another night which of course messed up several people who might have watched it. If they were so worried about having it on that night then why schedule it on that night to begin with?! Then after the 3rd episode aired, they went ahead and moved the show to Sunday, a time slot meant for the TV programming junk yard. By now it was guaranteed that the show was going to be killed! The show was canceled shortly afterwards and returned later online at NBC dot com. Basically, they never gave this show a real chance. Also, for those who put stock in Nielsen ratings, I believe that they are nothing but bull! I am sorry, but I don't believe that a few select people can really determine what the majority of Americans really watch and it has been proven several times that the Nielsen ratings are not always accurate! I think it is time we start to look for a new way to figure out what people are really watching. Considering the technology out there, we now have better ways to judge what people watch verses Nielsen ratings!
