It's okay
It seems more like an episode of some high-quality tv show than a movie really. It's a pretty straightforward murder mystery that eschews sensational nonsense in favour of simplicity. The plot is basic and the characters staple. Aside from the red-herring beginning that's really kind of disconnected from the rest of the film, the only real complaint I have is that the music, which is rarely used, seems somewhat out of keeping with the tone of the rest of the film. The real story is that of the careworn inspector, who is easy to imagine coming from and going on to more investigations of the same vein.
On the whole it's worth seeing, but nothing new.
