best superhero movie since the dark knight

i know it does a lot of things wrong, but this movie is beatifully shot, it's well written, and it has the most epic super-beings fight scene of movie history. i understand why people don't like it, but it's qualities are undeniable

Couldn't agree more. I think the problem is that, since Superman himself is such a controversial character to some people, everybody had different expectations for this movie. Batman, on the other hand, is a more straight-forward character, which is why the Dark Knight movies are more favorable to many people.
Personally, I love this movie. I connected with the characters, loved the action, etc. It's a shame that more people weren't able to, but I think if more people had gone into this movie with an open mind and without expectation, it would have been a more enjoyable experience for them.
Hopefully, as time passes, people will see all the good in this movie and admit that it's not as bad as they may have previously thought.

This movie has a decent rating, which is 7.2. I think that's about fair. I myself rated it a 7 as well. It's definitely an enjoyable film. I actually was fairly disappointed with TDKR. I really enjoyed BB and TDK, but I apparently was one of the minority that felt disappointed with the third Nolan film. I know it's highly rated and seems most enjoyed it more than myself. So it's all a matter if opinion. So yes, I enjoyed MoS a little more than TDKR, not because MoS was so amazing, but because I felt TDKR was a let down. MoS is certainly entertaining, however. I hope Batman vs Superman ends up even better. I know there's some criticism with the casting of Affleck, but I'm keeping an open mind and will let his performance speak for itself.

We can't stop here! This is bat country.

I have high hopes for BvS as well.

I agree that this movie definitely gets nit-picked and gets more flack than it deserves. I'd put it above tdkr personally.

I personally find MoS a very re-watchable movie.

That's the problem with most ppl. They expect and want "fantastic" and when they don't receive that, when a movie does not meet their expectations it's an automatic downgrade to a 2/10.

Indeed.

Jesus effing Christ.... This thread includes people saying Man of Steel was well written, AND people saying TDKR is better than TDK. My god....

Dude I completely agree! This film is a work of art!

I don't understand why people come up with such ridiculous criticisms either. It's like they want to hate it no matter what and despite the fact that it's perfect.

They say things like there's too much destruction - super powered aliens with super advanced technology come and try to kill everyone and they think no-one should get hurt lmfao

Or they'll say the movie is glum and sad? Despite the fact every other scene is epic and gives you tears of awesomeness.
