Too many flashbacks, ruined the continuinity, also Cavill is hopeless

This is the worst Superman film ever made, in terms of continuity.
I wish they told the story in linear fashion, because the story kept being interrupted by flashbacks, and that destroyed the build-up to important events.
Its okay to have multiple flashbacks in a character-driven drama, but not in an event-driven spectacle film.
Also, Cavill playing Superman is completely unappealing, and has no idea how to act.
Superman doesn't talk much, so the actor needs to communicate with facial expressions, which Cavill is hopeless at, completely wooden.
Brandon Routh and Christopher Reeve were excellent at communicating with their faces.

They were just trying to copy Batman Begin's structure. It didn't really work for this movie. The pacing was off.

And yes, Reeve was excellent as both Clark and Superman.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.
