I'm now shooting this movie in Bulgaria with Wesley Snipes Lena Heady and Charles Dance. There is no presidential assassination plot. Josef Rusnak is directing. I am playing Collins.

Why the complication with the two films "The Shooter" and "Shooter"? Is there a theartrical release date? Are the 2 movies related or could it be that there's been an error and the 2 movies are one and the same?

Shooter with Mark Walhberg will shoot in Vancouver, Chicago, Philly and Wash.DC
Don't know anything about Snipes movie...perhaps there are two movies.

They are. It seems there is a mix up with "Shooter" based on 'Point of Impact' and "The Shooter" which I have no idea about.

I think "The Shooter" and "Shooter" are the same production. Antoine Fuqua is listed as director for both films now on IMDB. So guess there is no Shooter movie that will have Wesley Snipes in it. The one I know about has Mark Wahlberg.

If you mean Imdb...i have and it lists Antoine Fuqua as the director. He can't be doing both Shooters. Thus I'd say that Wesley Snipes was a possible choice for lead in Shooter and has declined/replaced. I know for 100% that Mark Walhberg is the lead in Antoine Fuqua's Shooter. If anyone has anyother info on a another shooter with Wesley that is beyond my knowledge.

NO...Wesley Snipes is no longer in this movie, Mr. Ripper. I know this for a fact. He was to play the lead by obviously was replaced some time ago by Wahlberg.

There are two DIFFERENT movies called Shooter being made. One is a low budget Nu Image flick, with Snipes, and the other is the megabuck Paramount/Wahlberg flick.

Maybe one of them should change the title. It's so confusing now, and from a promotional point of view not very clever. So which one is based on the book again?

The film is being shot in Sofia, Bulgaria and in Cardiff, Wales. They've already shot the scenes in Bulgaria and start in Cardiff this week. My girlfriend was out on the drinks in Cardiff Saturday night and saw Wesley Snipes in one of the local wine bars.
