Looking at his body in this movie (like all the shots with his shirt off) I'd say he didn't do much if ANY training for this movie. he's looking a little flabby....

I have the DVD (yes I know) and they show in the Making of featurette doing all of them. Him being an athlete, I recon it wasn't hard at all either. Even if you didn't know that already, you could clearly see his face while watching the film.
And yes, he got a little tubby in this movie...especially in the backside
