These new episodes with other people and/or having some kind of rescue scenario where rescuers are searching for him are so bad. They should just go back to the original formula where he survives on his own. Don't fix what is not broken!
shareHe's creating real survival scenarios and re-enacting other survival experiences individuals have had. The excitement factor might not be quite the same but the educational knowledge is great I think. He's showing people survival techniques that any of us could do instead of silly stunts that could get us injured.

And the survival knowledge and perspective is what matters.
I think what's missing is there's no real "end" to his shows this season. They just kind of end whereas his older episodes used to show him walking out to safety. I think he just cut out some of the more dramatic shots and narratives and is focusing more on survival techniques.

I agree. I think if he keeps doing them they will get better though. I just appreciate the fact that's he doing them regardless of how weird the endings come across.
These survival scenarios are what Dual Survival should have been instead of the phony way they do things.
Early this season we had the two-part Transylvania episode. Add-in the order in which the episodes are airing, that made it seem possible for the weird ending episodes to have a part two. But like you said, I do appreciate the series continuing.
Les has made it no secret about what he things of these other scripted survivor shows. I tried to find the page I read a couple of days ago where Les had to explain to the official allowing him into a country, who was disgusted with other survivor shows that had film there, that his show was not like those other shows and after hours of negotiations he was finally allowed to enter the country. Scripted shows like Dual Survival and others has caused him problems trying to make his own show.
Wow, I was just watching the Tonga episode the other day and Les indeed is starting to look too old. He's about 55 now, I'm thinking he's def too far past his prime.

I don't know about that. As long as he's in reasonably good shape, I don't think 55 would be too far past his prime. There are lots of things I do better at 55 than I did at 25.

To catch a contractor hired an agency for actors.
I Googled it then went and looked at the form to sign up.
It was an actors submission page for bio's and a head shot.
And it was suppose to be a real Reality show too.
No part of the contractor show required any actor !
But What did i see there ?

When i posted that casting company info and other proof the show Catch a Contractor was fake the mods here deleted my post and all replies it got from some chick who went weird on me desperately trying to discredit me and claim the show was genuine.
Which was strange because there was like 3 guys in the IMDB forum for the show.
I came back a day or two later and every trace of my two topics were long gone.
Like they never existed..
I lost all respect for this place that day.
I had that show busted ice cold 100% and the staff here made my comments vanish !
Les is right most out there are fraudulent.
That is the premise but it really does not hold up. This last one I saw he has no idea whatever happened to those sailors who almost certainly died at sea. So he goes to a fairly popular island with a easy walk out path for one night and then another, more desolate island that had no water and thus he would not have been able to survive. He spent much of the episode making his buddy look dumb, cutting himself and then just walking away like "Nope. Wouldn't survive here. No water". I thought it was really lame. They did not even show him catch the octopus and I was thinking it probably just washed ashore. He also made an unusable spear.
I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.
