Who cares if cheerleading's a sport or not?

Why don't everybody look past the whole issue of it being sports and just take it for what it is. I used to look down on cheerleading but now I have so much respect for those who do it. Its just the girls' "game" and each to their own. Nobody has any right (well yeah, but you get the point) to disparage someone else's activity because it doesn't match up to their absurd standards. If anything's for sure, cheerleading is very physically taxing.

As for my background, I am as dude as dude gets. I'm a dude's dude.

I think it's confusing because of the different types of cheerleaders. Most cheerleading squads aren't competetive, at least no where i live. They make up routines, practice, and cheer at games and rallies. Very few high schools have cheerleading squads that compete at any level.

Well, its not like the other sports aren't confusing. Soccer is one of the most confusing sports of all because they have such a multi-layered competition and regulations system.

The is not true. I just depends on where you live. Like i live in the south and since football is so worshiped so is cheerleading. All of my high school teams compete at a level 3 (jv) and a level 5 (v). We also usually have to compete with all of the schools around us. Trust me every high school i know of competes. its not just waving their arms, its serious.

The cheerleaders who clap and go"Yay Team!" aren't athletes. The cheerleaders who spend hours practicing, tumbling and stunting, are athletes.

these are HEADSTRONG, crazy days..=)
