It looks very...
...cheap.
shareIt has that in common with all the BBC4 productions I've seen... Generally, you can't fault the acting in BBC4 stuff and the production quality's good... But, you always get a feeling that the budget was far from massive... Having said that, they do stuff other channels wouldn't touch with a barge-pole. So, I'm inclined to be reasonably forgiving.
I just got done taming a wild honeymoon stallion for you guys.
I know what you mean.
All that commentary makes me think they just dusted off an old radio script.
You might think that it was okay, but only if you've never seen 'Contact' or 'Demon Seed' !
I don't know if I understand precisely what you mean by "cheap" in this context. It went a bit further in trying to be descriptive than you did here.
shareWhat *YOU* mean by cheap. Thanks, I am familiar with the word, it has many popular usages. Part of my uncertainty is that I didn't associate any of those meanings with the remake of "A for Andromeda". So the term is apparently quite subjective. Would throwing money at it have made it any better?
shareProbably not. But recording it on film might have made it look better.
