Hiatus??

As far as my research on BCD goes, I've found that it's one of the highest-rated & viewed shows in Britain... so why is it that some ill-informed suit decided to put the show out? Anyone got the inside? I'd love to know when they'll be filming again or where the last series notes are.

Hi, I just saw your note and was wondering if you've found any information yet? I too am extremely anxious to know - BCD is absolutely fascinating to watch but so difficult to find information about!

Thanks, Linda

I think the other poster hit it on the head..some suits decided it was not worth the money....hope they are on the dole now.

Yes they have stopped filming but they show it every morning at 7:30 8:00 but they are just reruns I also agree this show is more educational and more entertaining then shows like Too Cute, and My cat from hell

It is hard to accept that they will stop doing this but will continue showing and spending money on shows that don't educate people about animals. Wish it will be back and earn more money and the money goes to the Marsh and give back to some of the animals. I don't know how but, I had to wish that someday.

Love watching it. I cried when some of the cats died. Also I hate killing that is why I don't watch national geographic but with Big Cat Diary it made me appreciate how beautiful these creatures. Cheetahs are becoming rare species and I hope that we get to see more of these magnificent creatures.

I watched African Cats by Disney Nature minus the violence, and again I cried when a lioness died. And now I miss Big Cat Diary more.

I don't know where you are located, or whether this is true across the Country...but, earlier episodes of BCD are shown in The US, on 'Animal Planet' channel. Episodes are shown at 7:00am & 7:30am, (EST) M - F. And 6:30am & 7:00am, (EST) on Sat. So if you may want to crank out the DVR if its televised in your area.

I like to DVR the show Mon - Sat. Then I have 6hrs of BCD to enjoy over the wkend.

Presently, the team opens a New Season as 'Shadow' the Leopard has unseen young cubs hidden in the caves of 'Leopard Gorge'. An, as-yet Unnamed, Cheetah with 3 tiny cubs. No word yet on male Tiger Cub 'Solo', who was last seen 2yrs ago, as stated in the broadcast.

I hope you are able to see it. It would be great if you would let me know...as there doesn't seem to be much discussion on this nail biting, brilliantly produced, on-going Documentary of the Big Cats of Kenya's Masai Mara!

But we in it shall be remembered;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers
