Eh... My problem with the movie

I didn't even know this movie existed till this morning.The fact that it was Children-friendly movie was probably the main reason for the low ratings&the hatred ppl have.I didn't hate the movie,i just thought that it started all fuzzy and cute,the girl was so adorable,but once the homeland security knocked down the door,everything went downhill for me&nothing made sense,it was like they didn't know what direction they were going.Were they being Serious?Funny?Cuddly?

Michael Clark Duncan who i loved as an actor was misplaced by the directer,they made him all sweet,then scary,then teary eyed, If they had made it a darker feel,it probably would get better ratings&reviews.

What did you expect to happen after something in your house sends out an EMP-like burst that blackens half of the state? Did you expect some rotund elderly gentleman with a long white beard to visit them with dialogue like "Explain your mischief, young man?"

Yep,I was expecting a cute and cuddly father christmas character to pop by and give them a frank and friendly 'telling off'not to play around with seattle's electricity supply.Not that awful scary fella they sent instead.It's enough to think they actually done something naughty for goodness sake.
