As the war drums beat ever louder with Iran

Rep Charles Rangel comes back from the abyss to yet again introduce the draft, right on time. Americans will support the draft under the right circumstances.

Oh and as for the movie itself, it is a shining example of Predictive Programming, which is a propaganda technique developed out of the Tavistock Institute, which uses the power of suggestion using the media of fiction to condition the public’s mind subconsciously in preparation for a desired or planned outcome. As for the draft itself, since we're not being invaded by anybody militarily there is no reason for selective service to exist. It’s only being kept up because they will need the adequate cannon fodder for these imperialist wars of aggression.

Hi Lou. Thanks for posting the link re: Rangel. He obviously has other fish to fry at the moment (!) and has introduced bills to reinstate the draft in the past. On the whole, it usually seems to be an effort to bring to light what he (Rangel) sees as the iniquity in the composition of our fighting forces - disproportionately high levels of lower income and minority troops compared to the population as a whole - rather than a sincere attempt to actually get the draft reinstated.

Who knows though - sooner or later, and under the necessary conditions, the debate could certainly rise to the point wherein we as a nation are forced to either pull back or reinstate the draft.
