Being a chinese/dutchman, I don't watch a lot of Hong Kong movies. My sister on the other hand watches a lot. Since she heard there's a new movie starring Aaron Kwok she's so obssessed by it. Also there's a boy starring who won/ nominated 2 oscars for being best supporting role and best newcomer. So well, as curious I was I bought the DVD to watch it.The acting of Aaron Kwok was good but the rest of the movie...IT WAS HILARIOUS!
First of all, the boy looks cute but he's like a smiling-crying-moving robot. I just can't understand this boy was so special. It was so boring to see this kid acting.
The second of all...don't watch the director's cut. The duration is 159 minutes. The movie is sooooo slow for such a simple story. The movie should been 29 minutes or maybe less.
I've seen a lot of kick ass Hong Kong movies before but this movie is too overrated. It's a waste of time to watch this movie.

Perhaps you should stick to short films.

No he's right. This film is about 2 hours too long.

Currently watching this film right now. The story is soooo slow. Nothing is happening. This deadbeat father is really hard to watch. Thumbs down.
