Did anyone else find the three kids annoying?

I don't know, maybe I'm just not good around children but I seriously felt like kicking their ugly heads in, just for fun.

Am I the only one?

All of life's problems can be solved by finding an emo kid and beating the crap out of him.

You're definitely not the only one there. In fact, most people I talked to wanted to put them in a wood chipper. I used to hate them w/ a passion; they serve absolutely no purpose other than being bratty little kids that get whatever they want b/c the adults on the Gekko don't know how to deal w/ children despite acting lke children themselves. In the manga that was adapted from the anime they almost never appear.

In the last 10 or so eps I think they were mostly there for filler characters simply b/c the writers had no idea how to fill 3/4 of an ep w/ just 2 chars.

yeah, this is true. By the end of the series, they did serve a nice purpose. But up until then, I hated them. All they did was cry and cause problems.

I agree with everyone. i hated the kids at first.
but i found it very interesting that I actually started to like them as the series came to an end, very well done. same with renton, hated that kid until midway through the series. just shows good storytelling.

I usually dislike kids in anime. They tend to slow donw the plot, but here they took it to the extremes. Their pranks stopped being funny after the first episode they were featured in. I wondered how is it possible that with all those adults on board noone ever disciplined them. I actually felt unhealthy satisfaction when Eureka slapped the little girl in the episode when they met up with the Vodareck old woman.

True, all in all they served a point, but what a pain it was to watch them until then! "Mamaaaaa, mamaaaa, mamaaaa". Aaaaaargh!

If they weren't bratty kids then it wouldn't be a Gundam homage.
