I actually have to agree! This is cute and really funny. It's meant for kids but I still laughed. I don't know why people hate this movie. I think it's because most people miss Eddie Murphy doing more adult movies and stand up comedy.
It's one of Eddie Murphy's better movies.

There was an ad that caught my eye on FX tonight. I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch the movie because, frankly, it could be a hit or miss with Eddie Murphy these days, as opposed to his earlier movies.
You know, I really liked it. It's funny and I loved the "Star Trek" concept. A thumb-up for EM. I also liked the special effects with the "spaceship" and how the formerly robotic crew changed to be more human. So fun.
