WILL SMITH IN THAT ROLE

There was a gem of an idea there, but the execution certainly was lacking. More than a couple of times I kept thinking Will Smith in that role would have killed. Not because he's a greater comic actor than Eddie, it's just that his appeal is somewhat different; his jocular tough guy thing could have worked here better.
Certainly his name would have helped with the box office.
