If you know anything about independent filmmaking...

...then you know what an accomplishment this film is. Multiple locations, helicopter shots and stunts are only part of what was achieved for well under $1 million US. Impressive to even the most cynical film watcher. And I read that they were the first feature to shoot using the Panasonic HVX200.

Budget aside and technology aside, it's an interesting story that was well performed.

I enjoyed the movie and would like to have seen the sequel that apparently isn't going to happen.

I agree - that is impressive. It looks good - the director certainly has a good eye.

Me too, I was impressed with this little movie. I saw its trailer and then got it and got exactly what I expected. People just dont know how hard it is to achieve something like this on so little and should be a bit less harsh when commenting, especially the predictable 'worst movie ever!' crowd. Well done.

I, too, was completely blown away by this movie. A great combination of directing, writing and acting. What, for me, made this movie amazing was how completely understated and unpretentious it was. I read a review on IMDb that commented on bad acting, but I really disagree. I watch a lot of low-budget films and a lot of mistakes they make is they rely on characters explaining their lives, their relationships to other characters, etc, to make the plot of the movie seem relevant to the viewer. This does the complete opposite. It drops you smack bang into the middle of these people's lives. It's subtle things like the actors' movements, topics of conversation and character interaction that really establish relationships and allow the audience to connect with what they're seeing on the screen. No-one likes to be spoon fed these things and this film has a natural progression that made it easy and fun to watch.
