Stupidest piece of homophobic BS I've ever watched **spoilers

The cinematography, acting, script, everything was bad enough that I nearly stopped the DVD. But I persisted, up until she finds her husband with another man, then she freaks out and pukes and shows the utmost disgust, not at his cheating ways, but at his being with another man.

How such a bad AND dumb movie as this even makes it unto shelves, I do not know. She's slapped him some now and being consoled by a stereotypically portrayed flaming gay guy.

I do not think I can take another minute of this film!
Good night!

Well I must agree that the acting was sub-par, despite the fact of having some rather good actors. But all in all, the movie was not that bad and it did bring across a good point.

I don't think it was homophobic at all! It actually showed the viewpoints from both sides of the fence. It's completely believable and expected that if a wife finds her husband cheating and then on top of that with another man, to be highly upset. It's a double-whammy! However the scene where her girlfriend comes over to console her and brings the gay friend from church...I was thinking "Why did she bring him..of all people?" LOL But they prolly were good friends by that time and maybe the wife was such a person to not crucify all gay men for what her husband had done.

I agree its difficult to watch..because its feeding into all this D.L garbage to str8 women..w/o ALL the facts. Its kind of 1 sided..thats y its hard to watch..i see the point of the movie but the apporach is totally WRONG!!!

reply

Hi gaboi, I'm late so I may not get a response but, as a straight woman the whole D.L. thing really bothers me. I've been trying to understand it but I can't figure it out. I feel like you may know something I don't or haven't considered. I just think that gay men should be courageous and accept themselves as gay or bisexual. I think sexuality is no one's business but your own except for when you decide to get physically intimate with someone or involved in a romantic relationship. I have so much respect for an out gay man or even a gay man who decides only to share that information with their lovers. But, I have no respect for a man who lies to and uses a woman to hide his sexuality. Even if you are bi-sexual, you owe it to your partner to be honest and faithful.

I'm sorry but, like it or not, that was a realistic reaction. Is the movie supposed to portray the way she should react or the way most straight married women WOULD react.

Normal for homophobic people!!!!!

A reaction to cheating is normal, yes of course, but freaking out because the cheat is gay, that is just plain stupid and homophobic.

Is not homophobic. Some homosexuals get grossed out by the thought of opposite sex people have sex. I'm sure a gay man would be especially grossed out if he caught his lover having sex with a women. Yes, more so than if he caught him with another man. But, that is ok, right? You wouldn't call that heterophobic would you? A person can have all the gay friends and family in the world and still be grossed out by actually witnessing a sex act between two same sex people. There is an extra layer of deceit taking place, not only has your spouse been keeping the fact that he is sleeping with someone else but also that he is sexually attracted to men. Sorry, but there is going to be an extra element of anger and disgust at the thought of possibly being used and made a fool of. Pick your battles, this is not a good one.

Question(s) for you^^^^ would you date a openly bisexual male? Would you not feel anger and disgust at the thought of your man sleeping with another female?

reply

No it's not, he's freaking gay! He pounds in places that shouldn't be pounded. Freaking gross.

reply

To find something gross is one thing... to be all freaked out about it is homophobic. You don't like something fine, but when you have a hissy fit, that's the stupid part.
