Why isn't their entire dialogue in Russian?
The occasional "lets go" and "you've had enough" or whatever is
the extent of it. okay not completely, but for native Russian
speakers it just makes no sense to me for them to speak primarily
in English
You should watch The Return or Leviathan then.
I don't have a problem with it. I know of many films that simply get no attention because of its language. So sadly if you want your film to be seen. You choose English.
yeah I guess that makes sense, cause people went nuts over it. It was the only thing that pulled me out of the movie tbh. well shot and directed though
shareNot to necessarily add on, but don't watch something like K-19: The Widowmaker, or something like that, I think Harrison Ford plays a Soviet submarine captain...Ugh. But yeah I like realism too, just saying it could be alot worse, at least the excuse for this is it takes place in England, if it took place in Russia I might say something.

Because it's an English language film. Many people don't like to read captions, and there are others that too stupid to be able to. If Vladimir Kaputnik directs a Russian film that takes place in America, do you think it would be in English?

Honestly that's the only answer I came up with.
It's an American film for Americans
It is a BBC films production with a canadian director.
shareAmericans had nothing to do with this film except maybe throw in a few dollars to get it made.
The Director is not American. None of the leads were American. So don't blame us, for the lousy accents etc. We are blameless.
