Very predictable polt

Sadly, as with about 100% of Hollywood movies, the plot adheres to a very rigid formula, and hence it's extremely predictable. In my case, I figured out the plot all the way to the end at about the 20 minute mark. Then 15 minutes later I just couldn't bare to watch the monotonous unfolding of the Hollywood formula and skipped forward in increments of 30 seconds. Took me a total of a bit less than 40 minutes to "appreciate" the whole film.

At what point did you figure out the plot?

reply

This is the stupidest thing I've read today. While you skipped ahead in 30 second increments, you missed one hell of a performance by Vigo Mortensen and Vincent Cassel. You impress no body with your ability to figure out the plot so quick, and only do yourself a disservice.

I agree. Most people forget the point of the movie is the journey. The characters were great and Viggo gave an incredible performance. I love his work with Cronenberg.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

If "polt" is all you care about in a movie then you might as well stick to reading the screenplays - or, better yet, the plot synopsis if you can find one.

Yeah, that's the way to watch a movie by one of the best directors working today, skipping ahead in 30 seconds increments. This movie is well made, well acted and well written, so exactly the opposite of todays Hollywood.

It's a bit like playing a videogame in god mode and no clipping. Not nearly as good. And you've spoiled it for yourself!

A polt is a sharp blow and I was trying to figure out which one during a fight you saw coming.
